Blogger's Choice Fat Quarter Bundle - voting / votação

Olá a todos. Eu sei que tenho andado ausente, mas tenho uma boa desculpa: trabalho. Como alguns de vocês saberão, eu tenho um trabalho a tempo inteiro que neste momento me está a consumir todo e qualquer tempo que eu poderia ter para blogar / costurar. No entanto, ainda tenho alguns trabalhos que fiz para o Natal, por isso não desistam já de visitar este cantinho, prometo que em breve volto em força.

Também criei uma página de facebook e gostava muito que me seguissem por aí (ainda não consegui por aqui ao lado a engenhoca que permite tornarem-se seguidores, por isso fica o link).




Entretanto, o Concurso para escolher o Fat quarter bundle dos bloggers no Quokka Quilts encerrou no dia 15 de Janeiro e está neste momento a decorrer a selecção dos participantes. Como a participação foi tão grande, a Laura está a pedir a ajuda dos leitores. E que melhor oportunidade de ir buscar alguma inspiração do que ver as maravilhosas combinações inscritas? Podem ir aqui e ver todas as participações. Ah! e não se esqueçam de votar, aqui! Hi dear you. I know I have been away, but I have an excuse. As some of you may know, I have a full time job and at this point the work is so much that leaves me little or no time to blog / sew. I do have, although, some projects I did for Christmas still waiting to be shared with you, so don't give up on me just now.

In between, the contest for blogger's choice over at Quokka Quilts closed on January 15 and the sellection is in process. As the participation was overwhelming, Laura asked the participation of the readers. So here is a great opportunity to get some inspiration: head over here and see all the contributions. Blogger's Choice Bundles - um desafio

No blog Quokka Quilts está a decorrer um desafio até dia 15 de Janeiro. O desafio consiste em ir à loja Fat quarter shop e escolher 15 tecidos que coordenem: 12 padrões e 3 sólidos, fazer uma montagem com as imagens dos tecidos, publicar no vosso blog ou em qualquer local que permite "linkar" e submeter o link no Quokka Quilts para se habilitarem a ganhar 1/2 yard de cada um os tecidos que seleccionaram! Muito simples e um excelente prémio.

Over at  Quokka Quilts there is a challenge going on until January 15. All you have to do is:

1. Go to The Fat Quarter Shop website and choose 12 coordinating prints and 3 solids from their selection.
2. Either a) create a blog entry about your set of fabrics;  or b) if you don't have a blog, upload them somewhere they can be seen in one link - eg flickr, picasa, etc. You must include pictures of your fabrics. You can 'borrow' these from the FQS site.  
3. Link back at Quokka Quilts by January 15!

Bem vindo 2012 / Welcome 2012

Acabou o ano velho, o 2011 que todos dizem ser melhor do que 2012. Eu fico sempre a aguardar para ver. Tal como gosto de páginas em branco, dias a amanhecer e semanas a começar, também gosto de um ano novinho em folha para eu poder viver. Eu acho sempre o que ano seguinte vai ser melhor do que o anterior.  Porque cresci, porque aprendi e não vou cometer os mesmos erros. Porque tenho mais um ano, sei mais e posso ensinar mais. A cada ano que passa sou mais dona de mim, mais dona da minha vida, mais mãe, mais mulher, mais profissional. A cada ano que passa tornei a minha casa mais minha, construí mais lar, somos mais família, temos mais tradições, conhecemo-nos melhor. Portanto que venha o terrível 2012 e tudo o que ele trouxer e que isso me permita continuar a crescer, que eu ainda sou pequenina.


The old year is gone, the 2011 that everyone here in Portugal says it was better than 2012. I always like to wait and see what is about to come. Just like I love blank pages, new days and fresh weeks starting, I also like a brand new year for me to live on. I always think that the starting year will be better that the year before. Because I grew up, because I had a whole year to learn and I am not doing the same mistakes again. Because I am one year older, I have more knowledge and I can teach more. Each year that goes by I am more aware of myself, more in command of my life, I am a better mother, a better woman and more professional. Each year that goes by I turned my house more in a home and our family is more family, we have stronger traditions and bonds. So let the terrible 2012 come and bring everything with it and may I keep growing, because I am still little.

Estamos de férias, a aproveitar o tempo, a família e o conforto do lar. O que desejo a todos os que por cá passam é o que desejo para mim e para a minha família: que usufruam do tempo e que o passem da melhor forma possível, que sonhem e que concretizem os vossos sonhos. Um Feliz Natal para todos e um Excelente Novo Ano.

We are on holidays break, enjoying some spare time away from work, with family in our cozy home. What I wish you all that come here every now and then is what I wish to myself and my family: enjoy every minute the best way you can and dream hoping that your dreams come true.
